MY SMALL COLLECTION VINDICATION...

And you people thought I had a "problem".  HA!  I think NOT!  I am feeling mighty good about myself, right about now!  This 1000+ piece Bakelite/celluloid/vintage plastic collection is ending on eBay (click here to see more auction photos) in a few hours...reserve was finally met late last night, at $5,000, and will undoubtedly go higher (Update: winning bid - $5,600.00).  NO, I DID NOT BID ON IT!  I will never feel bad about my piddly little collection problem, again...hello, my name is Tanya, and I am NOT a hoarder, evidently.  Happy Wednesday...

  4. You know, when you figure $5600.00 for 1000 pieces of bakelite, they only paid $5.60 for each and every item. Whoever ended up with that winning bid got one hell of a dealio! I saw some "clamper" bracelets on that table that are worth big bucks...even the bangles are worth WAYYYYYY more than $5 bucks...I should know! I am NOT a hoarder. :-)

  6. That collection is mind-numbingly amazing! I've never collected these and I don't own a single bakelite bangle, but after you last post, I am on the lookout for one or two (which will without a doubt turn into 3 or 4 then 5 or 6). hehe.
