  5. Love vintage Valentines! Shirley Temple was my mother-in-law's idol as a child. They were about the same age. I am following you now.

  7. I remember being home sick one day from school and I watched a ST movie, the one where her daddy was in the war and she got sent to girls home, she knew her dad was out there somewhere, she finally found him in a hospital, geez I cried and cried.
She was adorable though! Love the valentines! I think in the airplane one, he is getting ready to smack the stewardess on the butt!! hahaha!

  8. How very sad as Shirley Temple is an icon of our childhoods and happy times. I think she was my very first episode of being jealous...I was so wanting to be her and dance and have those ringlets and that sassy little style. Blessings...

  12. I don't watch the news or read the newspaper so it was my son, who is always looking up information and getting news from yahoo, that told me about Shirley Temple's passing. Honestly, when he said she was 85, I thought, only? I guess I thought she was a heck of a lot older because I've known about her and watched her all my life. Love that tap dancing with Mr. Bojangles. Your aunt certainly had a huge collection of wonderful Valentines. Best wishes, Tammy
